Happy Monday · Week 2 Day 1 ☀️
Week 2 is here! We kicked off Monday with a World Cup vocabulary BINGO the kids designed themselves, plenty of speaking practice, a homemade Korean lunch, crafts with Ms. Diane, cupcakes — and then headed outside for a candy-fishing game, playground time at the park, and a cool-down treat at McDonald's. What a start! 🙌
🔤 World Cup Vocabulary BINGO Learning by Playing
The whiteboard filled up fast — Canada, World Cup, FIFA, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, carbon dioxide… Each camper picked words from our brainstorm and drew their own BINGO card, then we played round after round, reading and spelling every word along the way. Learning never felt so competitive! 😄
🗣️ Speaking Practice Confidence Builders
With grammar charts on the walls and a plush soccer ball in hand, the kids took turns standing up and speaking in front of the group — a fun warm-up for the research presentations we're preparing this week. 🎤
🍱 Lunch Homemade & Warm
Then it was time for our daily homemade Korean lunch — galbi, kimchi, seaweed, and warm rice, served fresh at the counter with love. 🍚
✂️ Crafts with Ms. Diane Paper Dolls & Markers
In the afternoon, Ms. Diane led a cozy drawing and paper-doll craft session — stamps, markers, flower patterns, and one very fancy hand-drawn doll. 💕
🧁 Cupcake Break Sweet Rewards
BINGO winners (and everyone else, too!) celebrated with colorful mini cupcakes — the sweetest way to recharge. 🧁
🎣 Candy Fishing Reel in the Treats!
Then came the surprise hit of the day — candy fishing right outside the school! One by one, the kids lowered their fishing rod, waited for a "bite," and reeled up bags of golden chocolate coins. Patience pays off! 🍬
🌳 Park & a Cool Treat Sunshine Finale
We wrapped up the sunny afternoon at the park playground — ropes, climbing, and plenty of running — before cooling down with icy drinks at McDonald's. The perfect end to a packed Monday. 🥤
