Grammar Jeopardy 🎯
놀며 복습한 월요일

JC After School · Coquitlam, BC · July 20, 2026 (Mon)

We opened Week 4 of summer camp with a Monday devoted to review and teamwork. From a question-based name game and a mystery game to the classroom’s main event, English Grammar Jeopardy, it was a day when learning felt like play. 💛

🎯 English Grammar Jeopardy Reviewing English as a team

Two teams played for points across Who·What·Where·When·Why·How, Challenge Questions, Suffix Superstars, Root Word Riddles, Past Tense Verbs, and Past Continuous Verbs. As the children recalled answers, spoke in full sentences, and listened to one another’s ideas, grammar knowledge became language they could actually use.

🌳 Park Break Run, climb, and recharge

After working their brains, it was time for the park. In the sunshine and shade, the children climbed, hung from the equipment, and ran with their friends until they were fully recharged.

🍜 Today’s Lunch A bowl of Jjapaghetti

Lunch was a camper favorite: Jjapaghetti, Korean black-bean noodles, served with kimchi, roasted seaweed, and warm rice. After all that running at the park, the plates emptied especially quickly. 😋

💬 Question Cards Building sentences by asking and answering

We also revisited the six big questions from last week. By combining Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How?, the children created funny, unexpected sentences while naturally reviewing the structure of questions and answers.

🎹 Music Break Piano sounds fill the classroom

During break time, the children naturally gathered around the piano. The younger students explored the keys side by side, and an older student calmly played a piece for everyone.

🍿 Balance Challenge Popcorn and a soccer-ball challenge

Our afternoon snack was freshly popped popcorn. While waiting, the children started a challenge: balance a giant soccer ball on your head. Everyone concentrated hard—until the ball rolled away and the room filled with laughter!

🌱 Caring for Our Garden Small hands tending the flower bed

At the end of the day, we checked the garden bed outside the school. The children loosened the soil and picked out dry leaves, caring for the space where our plants grow. The teamwork practiced in class became a small, real-life responsibility.

What We Learned Today
Review is not simply repeating the same material. It means bringing what we already know back to life through games, sentences, and conversations with friends. On the first day of Week 4, the children engaged their minds, bodies, and hearts.
