Presentation Day 3 🌟

Day three of our junior teachers running the classroom — and today one determined presenter took the whole morning to himself. Pointer in hand, soccer ball tucked under his arm, “Coach Minwoo” turned the entire class into a soccer-themed math lesson. He stepped straight into the teaching role, kicked things off with games, and never lost his students’ energy. ⚽💙

⚽ Coach Minwoo Warm-Up & Hangman

Minwoo opened his lesson with a “Would You Rather…” warm-up, passing the soccer ball around the table so every student got a turn to answer. Then, to get everyone excited (and to make sure the whole class could spell it), he ran a round of hangman for the words “soccer ball” — chalk-style, right on the whiteboard, keeping score for each player. 🥅

🧮 Pick Your Challenge Soccer Math Worksheets

Then came the main event. Minwoo handed out a big stack of soccer math worksheets and set the class a challenge: complete as many as you can, at whatever level you like. Counting, odd & even, addition, subtraction — there was a sheet for everyone. Mrs. Diane and Minwoo moved around the room together, explaining each page and rewarding finished work with a bright ⭐. The students dug in and never gave up. 💪

🌟 Star of the Day Perseverance Award

Every student showed real grit today — but one truly went the distance. Our most perseverant camper, Leah, powered through an incredible 13 out of 15 worksheets, star after star after star. Amazing focus, Leah! 💖

📄 A Peek at the Sheets Every Level, Every Challenge

Here’s a little sample of the soccer math the class chose from today — from gentle counting all the way up to two-digit and three-digit subtraction, secret-code riddles, and even the geometry of a real soccer ball. Something for every age and every stage. ⚽

🍇 Snack Time Homemade Jelly

All that math earns a treat! Halfway through the morning there was home-popped popcorn 🍿 — and then the class made their very own jelly from scratch, stirring it up and dropping in fresh grapes 🍇 and blueberries 🫐. Measuring, mixing, and a little patience while it set. 💜

🍱

인내심 한 스푼 더: 젤리가 굳으려면 점심때까지 시간이 걸렸어요. 덕분에 아이들은 불고기 점심을 싹 비운 뒤에야 이 시원한 젤리 간식을 즐길 수 있었답니다. 😋

💬 Question of the day
Would you rather have grapes or blueberries in your jelly… or both? 🍇🫐💜 Tell us your answer next time you drop by!

💬 Thought of the day
Wonderful class, Coach Minwoo — and great leadership today. May each of our campers keep growing in confidence and perseverance. A secret of life: the teaching role takes learning to a whole new level. 💙

From students to teachers in just a couple of weeks — watching our juniors plan, present, and teach their own classes has been the highlight of the whole camp. So proud of every one of them! 🌟
