Who? What? Where?
When? Why? How? 🗯️
Grammar Day 🗣️
Today’s topic was the grammar of asking and answering the six big questions — Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How? Six little words that unlock almost every conversation in English. We started them on the wall, moved them onto paper, and finished with the children writing dialogues of their very own. 💬
✍️ Warm-Up Dictation with Minwoo
Once again, Minwoo stepped up as our teacher assistant. He read the dictations aloud while the class listened and ticked off which type of question he was asking — checkmark by checkmark, right on the wall charts. Then the students turned it around: they chose a question type themselves, and Minwoo asked a question of their choosing. Ears first, then voices. 👂

Each question word got its own chart — with the Korean underneath, so nobody was ever lost. And the answers the children came up with were the best part. 💛

“How?” … “With a hug.” 🤗 — and honestly, we can’t think of a better answer than that.
📄 Level Plus One Worksheets for Everyone
Warmed up verbally and mentally, the students moved on to worksheets matched to their own level — plus one. Just a little past comfortable is exactly where the learning happens. Wh-word fill-ins, question formation, correcting mistakes, quotation marks — every child had the right page in front of them. 💪

Meanwhile, our older students went further still, working through extra sheets aimed at their own particular language needs — reported speech, question formation, and the fine points that only come with reinforcement. 📚
🗯️ Make Your Own Illustrated Dialogues
And then the best part. The students created their own illustrated dialogues — drawing their characters, then giving them questions and answers in speech bubbles 🗯️. Everything they’d practised all morning, now in their own hands and their own stories. 🎨

Look at what they made. Pandas and rabbits sharing strawberries, birds and friends, whole little worlds built entirely out of questions and answers. 💖

🍿 Snack Break Popcorn & Blueberries
Everyone worked hard on their academic work right up to lunch time — with one very welcome exception: a blueberry 🫐 and popcorn 🍿 break in the middle of the morning. Freshly popped, straight into the bowl. 💖

🌳 Fresh Air Park Time
After all that thinking, some running. Off to the park — zip line, climbing nets, a friendly little visitor 🐶, and the world’s most patient horse. 🐴

🍚 Lunch Kimchi Fried Rice & Gim
And to finish — kimchi fried rice with crispy seaweed 🍙, cleaned right off the plate. Hungry minds, hungry campers. 😋

오늘의 배움: 질문 여섯 개 — Who · What · Where · When · Why · How. 벽에서 듣고 체크하고, 종이에서 자기 레벨 +1로 연습하고, 마지막엔 직접 그린 대화로 완성했어요. 듣기 → 쓰기 → 창작까지, 하루에 다 담았습니다. 💖
Great questions come before great answers. Teach a child to ask, and they can learn anything — for the rest of their life. 💙
From ticking checkmarks on the wall to writing whole comic strips of their own — all in one morning. Ask away, campers. We love your questions. 🌟
